    Yes, I remember those, they had them at every gas station and restruant. I remember eating out and there was "smoking" or "nonsmoking" area's. I'm glad they banned smoking in public places, much nicer going to restraunts now. They also had those big candybar vending machines.

    And jukeboxes, can't forget those. As a kid, I liked watching mechanical things work, so the record-selection process was always fun to watch. And with its long row of buttons, I'd imagine it was a control console of some sort.

    A local franchise, David's Burgers, has those in its restaurants.
    I think it's all pre-programmed music, and is just there for the
    cosmetic look.

    The one thing I like about it, is that if you dine in, and order
    a combo, you get unlimited french fries.
