• Setup alias for old username

From Amessyroom@VERT/TL-QWK to All on Tue Apr 1 13:13:20 2025
When I first created account, I used my full name:
    Granville Errol Casey, Jr.

I later changed it to Errol Casey. I now see some messages,
that are being listed as unknown user. I've attempted to
    setup an alias

    "Granville Errol Casey, Jr." 1

To direct mail for the previous name; but this doesn't seem to work.

Do I have the alias entered wrong ? Is there another command I need to
run for the alias to be recognized ?

    Thanks.

The alias.cfg file doesn't work that way. You'd need to specify the username part of the email address, not the quoted name.

Normally, users can receive email addressed to their alias or their real name, but that's sysop configurable in SCFG->Message Options.
