So i have datastream bbs which runs on another drive "e:\"
I decided to update today from 3.19c.
i have the sbbsnode and sbbsctrl variables set correctly and i keep
getting it detected as a new bbs install and the wizard ran during the setup and the scfg wizard runs and starts with new settings.
do i need to run update.js or something so i dont get a fresh install overwritten on my current bbs?
v3.20 uses different configuration files than v3.19:

So yes, you need to run 'jsexec update'.
yep that was it. maybe you should put that in the installer.
The sbbs-win32 installer is not to be used for upgrading - that's stated pretty clearly in the instructions for the installer.
